Fall Open House
Join us for our Fall Open House on Saturday, October 25 from 10 am-12:00 pm. This is one of the best ways for families to learn about our community, see our campus, and speak with teachers and students about our school. It is a wonderful chance to ask all of your questions and get a variety of perspectives and answers. After your tour with a Middle School Student Ambassador, you will have a chance to meet and talk with members of our faculty and administrative staff, and ask questions or just get to know us. You can also use this time to explore our 20 acres of woods, including both our Kindergarten and our Preschool outdoor classrooms.

"Listen and They Talk...Talk and They Listen"
Middle School parents and caregivers are invited to an evening presentation with Lee Anne Dodge at Friends School of Portland. Beginning a conversation about substance use with your child is important. Join Lee Anne and other parents for an evening conversation about the risk and protective factors of substance use prevention.

Back to School Picnic for Grades 1-4
We would like to invite you to a Back-to-School picnic (perhaps, picnics if you have more than one child) at FSP during the week before school. These grade-span picnics offer re-connection, community-building, and a welcome to families new to Friends School. Teachers will lead a get-to-know-you activity, and there will be time for informal conversations and a visit to the classroom(s).
Families who wish to do so may bring a picnic supper to eat outside; this is a lovely tradition that allows parents and children to connect informally.
